About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of enterprise-level Workforce Management (WFM) systems, with a strong focus on WorkForce Software (WFS). This role requires a deep understanding of system design, data engineering, and enterprise software integration, particularly in complex, fast-paced environments such as automotive or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of WFM systems, especially WorkForce Software (WFS).
  • Own and deliver complex system integrations using APIs, web services (SOAP, REST), and ETL pipelines.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data into data lakes and analytical platforms.
  • Design and develop dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure system security and access controls are implemented and maintained.
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and integration processes.
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies to improve system performance and data quality.
  • Support system administration and troubleshooting for web applications and SaaS platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 9+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with WorkForce Software (WFS) or similar WFM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and data architecture.
  • Experience with API integrations, web services (SOAP/REST), and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in software documentation, system design, and systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, web applications, and system administration.
  • Understanding of access controls, warehousing, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in a relevant technical field.
  • WorkForce Software certifications.
  • Experience with JavaScript or other scripting languages.
  • Background in HRIS or payroll system implementations.
  • Familiarity with Ford Global Data & Insight & Analytics (GDIA) tools and processes.
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry or large-scale manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
